A two car crash in Coldean Laner led to one passenger being taken to hospital.
The collision happened at 8.40am today at the junction with Hawkhurst Road.
A passenger in one of the cars was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital to be treated for possible back injuries. The road was cleared some 20 minutes after the collision.
A spokesman for the South East Coast Ambulance Service said: "Two ambulances were sent to scene.
"Three people suffered minor injuries - one man in his 30s suffered from back and chest pain.
"He was fully conscious but immobilised and taken to Royal Sussex County Hospital."
