Tyldesley Film Society has received a grant from Wigan Council Brighter Boroughs Fund.
The monthly community group meets at the Cadence Cafe in Tyldesley to show non-mainstream films.
The grant will pay for a second season and develop an afternoon meeting for elderly members of the community. The group meets every second Thursday of the month at 7pm and will be showing Sunshine on Leith on February 13 at 7.30pm. Visit tyldesleyfilmsociety.com.
