MEMBERS of Antrobus WI were welcomed to the January meeting and wished a Happy New Year by president, Margaret McDonald.
Everyone agreed that the party had been very enjoyable and it was agreed that the same caterer should be booked for their next party.
Speaker for the evening was Peter O’Connell, who gave a most interesting talk about the work of the Samaritans. It was most informative, although at times rather depressing, making members realise how lucky they are.
He was thanked by Annie Warburton Tickets are available for the CFWI meeting at Winsford on March 4, and the Group meeting on March 25.
The next meeting on February 11, at 7.30pm, in Antrobus Village Hall is an open meeting with a talk by Mark Beggs entitled ‘Salt Slavery – Cheshire’.
