Scores of people gathered for an LGBT event that explored intersectionality.
The second LGBT Children, Young People and Families Day welcomed more than 80 people to its annual meeting on Tuesday as part of LGBT History Month.
The event featured an LGBT tea party at the Friends’ Meeting House in Ship Street, Brighton, and a conference on ‘exploring intersectionality’.
The conference aimed to educate and celebrate our “complex and diverse identities and the connections between them” and included a speech from Caroline Lucas, MP for Brighton Pavilion.
Organisers behind the day, the Allsorts Youth Project, hope the event will catch national attention next year.
Allsorts supports young people under 26 who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans or unsure of their sexuality or gender. For more information visit www.allsortsyouth.org.uk.
