It may be grey and miserable outside - but a bright respite from the rain and wind is appearing in Sussex fields and gardens.
These cheerful yellow daffodils were snapped by our chief photographer Simon Dack in the grounds of St Nicholas's Church, Brighton.
He said: "It was a tiny window of light amongst the gloom. Spring has finally sprung - even if the weather hasn't realised yet."
