Wintry showers are likely to fall in Sussex overnight, according to the Met Office.
Its regional forecast says: "Some wintry showers overnight. Further rain and gales Wednesday.
"This evening and tonight: Largely dry and clear at first. Then later occasional sleet, snow or hail showers will arrive, perhaps leading to slight accumulations of snow. Icy stretches will form on untreated surfaces. Minimum Temperature 1 °C.
"Wednesday: Wintry showers, sometimes heavy, then outbreaks of rain. Through the afternoon the rain will become heavy, before clearing away eastwards. Blustery showers follow. Very windy, coastal gales developing, perhaps severe. Maximum Temperature 9 °C."
