Groundwater flooding has affected some home in Patcham follwoing the latest heavy rain.

The Environment Agency has issued a flood warning for ground water flooding in the area.

Residents are advised that flooding is expected and to take action.

As of 8.00am on Saturday 15 February the ground water level at Patcham is now at 45.93 metres (AOD - above ordnance datum).

It has passed the 45m level which the council said would result in some surface water flooding. Some basements have already been flooded.

Areas at risk in Patcham include Old London Road, parts of Church Hill and Mill Road where they meet the A23 and the Recreational Ground.​ To help divert water from the road drains in Patcham, Southern Water has installed temporary pipes and pumps alongside the A23 at Patcham, Brighton.
