Heavy traffic on the A27 with the continued closure of one lane

There is heavy traffic along the A27 this morning with the continued closure of one lane due to flooding.

The A27 Eastbound between A2025 Grinstead Lane / Manor Road and A283 Steyning Road, has been down to one lane since Monday.

Authorities are advising avoiding the area.

turn the traffic lights off,and improve traffic flow! it's done for the airshow, it was done for the drainage works. put a large pump up there and pump across coobes road to the river

Rather than just telling us what we already know, can you do some research and find out how long it's likely to be closed for? That would be very helpful for those of us who have been sat in traffic for an hour and a half every morning this week...

How do you avoid the area? Grinstead Lane is closed, the a 283 is closed.

its a mess how all that time and money was spent and still floods so near to the river which can drain into lets see the Gov holds its word for money for the UK and build a real drainage ditch to the river like you see over sea.
This will happen every few years if not with weather changing and more storms.
