A dog was the hero of the day after showing canine-do attitude and chasing away two would-be burglars.
Two men broke through the front door in Sherwood Road in Bognor, at 2.45pm on Tuesday.
But the suspects got no further into the house and swiftly fled empty handed when a dog chased after them saving his female owner who was in the home at the time of the break-in.
The first suspect is described as a white man, aged in his mid 20s, 6' tall and of thin build with short dark hair while the second was aged in his mid 20s, slightly shorter than the first and of medium to tubby build.
