The closure of the Anchor at Wyre forced a change of venue, at very short notice, for our New Year dinner. “The Pickled Plum” at Pershore came to our rescue and a pleasant evening was had by all, many thanks to Liz for organising it.

Our February meeting was an afternoon meeting, we visited “Oh My Glass” in Pinvin, where we were made very welcome, also the tea and biscuits went down well on such a terrible afternoon, the weather was blowing a gale. We had the most interesting talk and illustrations by Claudia who introduced us to the properties and fusing techniques of glass. Many samples were passed around and we were all in wonder of the beautiful things Claudia makes. “Oh My Glass” have a Gallery in Pershore in the Royal Arcade, named “Creative Glass” which is run by Alison Verralls who also helped Claudia with the presentation. Well worth a visit ladies.

The speaker at our March meeting on the 12th will be Mandy Smith, Principal of New College Worcester, who will talk about the work of the partially sighted and blind children at the College.

Visitors are always welcome we look forward to seeing you, 7.30pm Wyre Piddle village hall.
