Olympic star Rebecca Adlington made quite a splash when she visited a Sussex swimming pool.
She joined Duncan Goodhew at the K2 in Crawley for Southern Water’s annual Learn to Swim instructors’ seminar.
Rebecca, 25, who retired from competitive swimming last year, wowed the 150 attendees from Sussex, Kent and Hampshire.
She said: “Swimming is not just about getting to the Olympics. It’s about being healthy, tackling obesity and it’s about a family activity and everything that comes from that.
“It’s lovely when people congratulate me on medals but what I loved most about the London games was when people came up and said, ‘you have inspired my child to learn to swim’ and ‘my kid got into swimming because of you’.”
