A woman was hit by a bus in Worthing yesterday (Wednesday),
She suffered a leg injury after the Stagecoach bus struck her in South Street, in the town cenetre, at around 5.30pm.
Paramedics and police attended the scene and the woman was taken to Worthing Hospital by ambulance.
Police closed the street until 6.30pm.
A spokesman from Sussex Police said:" The collision happened near to the bus stop on South Street in Worthing at around 5.30pm.
"The pedestrian, a 53-year-old woman from Worthing, was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital with a serious leg injury.
"Anyone who saw what happened is asked to contact police on 101 or email collision.appeal@sussex.pnn.police.uk quoting serial 1063 of 26/2."
