A motorcyclist was injured after coming off his bike.

Police closed Middle Road, Shoreham, following the crash at 4.10pm. 

The 19-year-old's injuries were at first thought to be serious but were subsequently found to be minor, Sussex Police said. 

A spokeswoman added: "The blue Yamaha motorbike was travelling eastbound on Middle Road near to the junction with Southview Close at 4.10pm when the rider appeared to lose control and came off his bike. The 19-year-old man from Shoreham was taken to Royal Sussex County Hospital with a minor injury."

Anyone who saw what happened is asked to contact police on 101 or email collision.appeal@sussex.pnn.police.uk quoting serial 1063 of 1/3.
