Residents now know how much extra they will be paying for their council tax after yesterday Brighton and Hove's three main parties reached an agreement.

The budget, set for a rise of 1.99%, was pushed through at a special meeting after last week's failure to find a consensus.

We want to know what you think about the rise.

Do you think it is good for the city? Should the Green Party have aimed for 1.99% in the first place?

Or were they right to stick to their guns and push for the 4.75% that would have meant a referendum for the city?

And what about the other two parties? Labour got the rise they wanted, so are they the winners? And where does the result leave the Conservatives?

Have your say below.
