AN EIGHT-year-old girl who wants to change the world has raised £2,380 - by brewing up.
Lowton St Mary's pupil Amiee Williams decided to organise a vintage tea party to raise money for Comic Relief after she became upset watching children drinking dirty water on the charity's television appeal show.
Not long after the planning had begun, a family friend, Brenda Gleave, was diagnosed with breast cancer and Amiee made the decision to split her fund.
Amiee, of Stone Cross Lane North, Lowton, was helped by her mum Terri Williams and aunt Katie Glennard to hold the tea party was held on Saturday at Lowton St Mary's Church Hall.
Her aunt Katie said: "People were queuing out of the doors to come in and sample the delicious cakes, tea and coffee.
"We were jam packed throughout the whole of the day, the atmosphere was really warm and friendly.
"Amiee is such a kind loving young girl who wants to change the world and make poorly people better.
"I am very proud of her."
Amiee will share the money she raises between Comic Relief 2014 and Cancer Research UK. To donate visit: www.justgiving.com /TeamAmieeWilliams.
