Shakedown organisers have promised their best event to date after receiving their performance licence.

The music festival is set to take place on July 19 at the Waterhall Conservation Area, on the outskirts of Brighton and Hove.

Their licence, which was agreed by Brighton and Hove City Council on Monday, will see the event take place between midday and 11pm.

The event was previously held at Stanmer Park.

Steve Jones, event director, said: “We are delighted to have secured our premises licence for Shakedown 2014.

“We've been working very closely with the local authorities for the past few months to ensure our move to Waterhall runs as smoothly as possible.

“Coupled with a huge line-up, we're confident this will be the best Shakedown yet."

The line-up for this year's event is set to be announced this morning.

Last year's headliners included hometown favourites Rizzle Kicks along with Nero, Labrinth and Sub Focus.

Tickets, which are £45 plus booking fee, are available from the event's website. Visit: www.shakedown.co.uk.
