MORE than 100 pupils walked out of school today over possible changes to their holidays and the length of the school day.

The youngsters from Varndean School and Dorothy Stringer, both in Brighton, arranged the action over social media website Facebook.

They met at Churchill Square Shopping Centre in uniform to hold the protest.

A spokesman, who wished to remain anonymous, told The Argus they wanted to be taken seriously and so were trying to do everything as “as professional as possible”.
