A man found lying in a car park is described as in a "life threatening" condition.
The unamed man was discovered lying in the car park to the rear of Barclays in North Street, Brighton and the ambulance service was called.
South East Coast Ambulance Service and Sussex Police attended the scene and the man was then taken to Royal Sussex County Hospital.
Police were speaking to people at the scene and three ambulances attended.
