First published in News

Three men have been arrested for fraud after a pensioner withdrew £11,000 for work being done to his garage roof.

The man in his 80s from Selsey took out the cash at the beginning of February.

A 32-year-old from Dorset and a 47-year-old and 20-year-old from Wiltshire, were arrested for fraud.

All three have been bailed until May 12 while investigations continue.

I thought bank clerks were meant to ask what large amounts of cash were being withdrawn for - to counteract this sort of thing?

Come on Argus - do you reporting correctly - what bank was it that failed this pensioner?

That's an awful lot of assumptions you're making on the basis of a very short article. How do you know it wasn't the bank who raised the alarm?
