Easter Egg hunting, egg and spoon race and juggling are among the activities taking place in Patcham Memorial Hall on Friday, April 11.

The event at the hall in Old London Road, between 9.45am-2.45pm has been organised for children aged five to 11 by Get Creative in Patcham which is run by mother-of-three Louisa Fitzgerald.

Mrs Fitzgerald, 38, started Get Creative in Patcham in 2013 and believes it has had a positive impact on children.

Drama Tots is aimed at children aged 18 months to four, although youngsters as young as 15 months have joined.

A trained actress, Mrs Fitzgerald has appeared in Holby City, The Bill and Eastenders.

Mrs Fitzgerald said: “Drama can be a big showbiz thing but it can also be a great form of therapy. I’ve had the shyest of children come out of their shells and it can be very emotional for their parents,”

Her son Harry Fitzgerald, three, used to have a bad stutter but after taking part in Drama Tots she has noticed a big improvement.

Cora Kennedy, whose children attend Drama Tots said: “My daughter was extremely shy before joining Drama Tots last September.

"Her confidence has grown, partly from Louisa's teaching at Drama Tots and partly from the positive interaction with the other children that attend.”

She uses songs, puppets, story-telling, dancing and dressing up, to development imagination, vocabulary, expression and movement.
