A motorcycle was spotted being driven erratically through a town – when police chased it the rider jumped off and ran off.
A 22-year-old has now been arrested for a number of offences.
A Sussex Police statement said: “A resident reported a motorcycle, without number plates, being ridden in the Durrington area on Tuesday afternoon.
“A police officer gave chase when he saw a man run off.
A man, who is from Worthing, was arrested for driving while disqualified, without insurance, taking a vehicle without consent, driving while unfit through drink or drugs and possession of a weapon, a knife. He has been bailed to May 11.”
