Concerns are growing for a man who went missing from his mobile home on April 8.

Albert Golby, who has been described as a “woodsman”, left his home on Yapton Lane, Walberton, with a sleeping bag and rucksack.

It was thought the man, also known as Albie, may be sleeping rough in nearby woods.

Sgt Steve Chalcraft said: "We know that Mr Golby likes going to woods however his friends are concerned for his welfare and have made us aware.

“We have made initial checks at Rewell Woods and Slindon and are talking to our search specialists. Other areas that have also been suggested by friends include Arundel and Goodwood.

"We urge Albert to make contact to say he is safe and well. I would ask anyone who believes they may have seen Albert to give us a call.

“He's described as stocky, with grey hair, and wearing a black fleece and hoody, brown braces, jeans and silver trainers and is carrying a rucksack.”
