The Argus: Police appeal after racing pigeons stolen Police appeal after racing pigeons stolen

Racing pigeons have been stolen – now police want people to look out for ‘suspicious people’.

The birds were stolen in the Furnace Green area of Crawley between 10.30am and 6.30pm on April 13.

A Sussex Police statement, appealing for information, said: “This may include people hanging around the area that seem out of place or are deemed to be suspicious, people seen running away from the area, people taking interest in properties or vehicles that do not belong to them, sounds heard by residents around the time of occurrence, people or vehicles that have been seen which are not recognised by residents.

“Though we do not wish to cause alarm, we do need to hear from you if you believe you have seen something that may be relevant to the incident.”

Call Sussex Police on 101.
