The A24 has been closed southbound on the edge of Worthing after a collision between a lorry and a car.

The crash happened on the A24 southbound close to Durrington cemetery at about 4pm today.

A man and a woman in the car were treated by paramedics at the scene.

Northbound traffic is flowing but the road has been closed at the Findon roundabout and traffic is being diverted onto the A280, Long Furlong.

The road is expected to be reopened shortly.

Anyone who saw the collision should call 101 quoting serial 965 of 15/4 or email collision.appeal@sussex.pnn.police.uk.
