Children got to enjoy a day out with plenty of bite at Brighton Sea Life centre.

Parent company Merlin Entertainments recently opened its 100th leisure attraction - a Sea Life centre in Charlotte, North Carolina.

To mark the occasion the Brighton attraction invited 100 children from four different charities on Saturday.

Youngsters from the Burns Unit from Queen Victoria Hospital, The Children's Trust for children with brain injuries, poorly children invited by Rockinghorse and children with special needs from Gully's Great Day Out got to see the centre's new £1m Amazonian display.

Among the aquatic attractions were a group of perilous piranhas.

The children were presented with goody bags filled with souvenirs at the end of the day.
