Green MP Caroline Lucas will learn her fate in court today.

The Brighton Pavilion MP will appear in Brighton Magistrates’ Court over her involvement in anti-fracking protests in Balcombe last summer.

The case was adjourned earlier this month to allow the final defendant Ruth Jarman to give evidence ahead of the expected verdicts.

The courts in Edward Street will also be subject to protests at 12.30pm prior to the appearance of a University of Sussex protester following the occupation of Bramber House on the academic campus last year.

Come on Argus - inviting comments on an ongoing legal court case.
Trying to get all your readers in trouble!

For what its worth - conditional discharge with victim surcharge which she will then claim on expenses!

@Metro Reader - normally The Argus doesn't allow comments on active court cases or other sensitive issues such as travelers so this is either an interesting development or a mistake.

However, for those wanting to 'vent their spleens' on any such topics I suggest you look at 'Brighton and Hove News' web site where they never seem to restrict comments.
