A boy was bitten by a dog in a park while out walking with his family.
Police in Eastbourne are investigating an incident at the resort's Prince's Park in which a 14-year-old boy was bitten by a brown Yorkshire terrier.
It happened at about 3.30pm on Wednesday, 16 April, when the boy, accompanied by his mother and sister, was attacked by the dog near the play park bridge off Channel View Road.
The dog had been sitting on a bench with its owner but as the family passed it jumped up at the boy, biting him on the leg and causing a puncture wound.
The owner did give contact details to the boy's mother but officers would like to hear from anyone else who saw what happened.
They should phone Sussex Police on 101 or email 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk, quoting serial 990 of 16/4.
