ENGINEERS have restored power to all but five homes that were affected when power cables were brought down on the A22 earlier today.
294 customers in the Polegate Road area of Hailsham were left without power when a lorry brought down some overhead electricity lines at about 12.40pm.
The north and southbound carriageways of the road were closed while engineers worked to remove the obstruction and restore power to homes.
According to a spokesman five homes are still being affected.
209 customers had power again at 1.45pm and a further 80 at 4.29pm.
