The foul weather has put an open air performance of the Passion of the Christ in jeopardy.
Due to today’s heavy rain there are currently concerns about whether the annual performance of the play by Soul by the Sea, which takes place outside of St Peters Church in Brighton, will go ahead.
Organisers are considering their options and there is no confirmation of cancellation as of yet.
The yearly free event which depicts a gritty telling of the Easter story featuring the arrest, execution and resurrection of Jesus is always held in the open and includes the leading actor being lashed to the cross.
The Argus will have confirmation of whether or not the play will go ahead soon.
