Mystery woman knocked unconscious on night out in Brighton

A mystery woman was knocked unconscious and robbed on a night out in Brighton.

The victim, who police want to trace, was attacked by a group of three or four men between the Volks Tavern and Concorde 2 in Madeira Drive at about 3.30am on Saturday, April 5.

She was knocked to the ground and robbed before being helped by people passing by. Her attackers fled.

PC James Botting said: "I am trying to identify a group of two women and three men who were near the Volks Tavern at about the time of the attack.

"The men were all of mixed race. Two were wearing black hooded tops and one was wearing a grey hooded top.

"If you were in the area at the time and saw what happened, or know anything at all about the attack, please contact me."

Anyone with information should call 101 quoting serial 200 of 5/4, email 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk or call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.

... and yet today we hear violent crime is down. The very idea of a woman being knocked to the ground, was unheard of a couple of decades ago. Anyone who thinks today's street aren't violent is just plain crazy.

i dont know if you have ever seen the CCTV that some cities let the television companies broadcast but some of the images you see are really impressive SADLY not all cctv camera are this good NOT MANY ARE.. .. the lighting in that area might also have intermittent car headlights and also the salty water spray this is not a good environment for clear images of any part of that underpass REALISTICALLY they will have some footage but its going to take some time to enhance and view it all .. so lets just hope the perpetrators come forward soon .BEFORE the police come calling
