Six vehicles have been destroyed in a fire at an industrial estate.

Crews were called to the Victoria Industrial Estate, Consort Way, Burgess Hill, at 2.38pm this afternoon (April 22).

Five fire engines are currently at the scene.

Peter Chapman, from the Burgess Hill Uncovered website, said: "It is difficult to get close because the police are being very select about who they let in.

"The black smoke has gone but there are five fire engines still here.

“I can see one burnt out van and they are currently dampening down the Flowserve building.”

A fire service spokeswoman said there had been no injuries.

More to come.
