Staff at Brighton RSPCA are appealing for bedding and food as the charity faces its busiest time of year.
Spring sees an influx of kittens and pregnant cats at the centre in Braypool Lane, Patcham, resulting in its volunteers being overly stretched with resources and space.
Cheryl Wood, staff member, said: “When we re-home a cat their bedding goes to their new home with them.
"We hope the familiar smell will make the transition less traumatic, cats hate change.”
Items needed for donation are things such as bed sheets, towels, blankets and wet cat food.
