Man to appear in court accused of racially abusing a shop worker in Eastbourne

A 37-year-old man is to appear in court accused of racially abusing a shop worker in Eastbourne.

Police were called to Terminus Road at 7pm on Thursday 17 April after a report that a black male member of staff had been racially abused by a man as he passed him in the street.

Allan Graham Morris, 37, of Fletcher Close, Hailsham, has been charged with using racist threatening or abusive language with intent to cause harassment, alarm or distress.

He was released on bail to appear at Hastings Magistrates' Court on Wednesday 30 April.
