Blonde-haired man on bike flashed at 12-year-old

A man rode his bike towards a 12-year-old girl with his private parts exposed.

At around 4.10pm on March 19, the girl was walking along Ifield Avenue, Crawley, on her way home from school, when she saw a man riding a bike towards her.

A short time later he passed the girl further down the road and touched her bottom over her clothing. She told him to go away and went straight home and told her mum.

Detective constable Penny Furtado said: "This girl did exactly the right thing and told her mum and police. The suspect is described as white with tanned skin, dark blonde hair with grey bits on it styled in collar length curtains, and had stubble.

"This happened after school time and a lot of people might have seen this man riding his bike in the area or recognise him from this e-fit.

Poor girl, she must have had a fright, especially if he appeared to be following her and touched her.
However, I don't understand how 'flashing' when cycling is a crime when hundreds of people do it in the name of the naked bike ride (or attention-seekers anonymous or whatever it's called). Apparently it's ok for young children to see male cyclists' bits as long as they are in a big group with grinning policemen cycling along with them.

You're confusing intentions.

This perv had the intention to intimidate and assault a child.

The naked bike riders are trying to show people how vulnerable cyclists and pedestrians are on the roads and highlight the lack of infrastructure, justice and concern society has had for them. Its a display of vulnerability not sexuality - otherwise you would physically SEE arousal.

Only if you are French or American. See following quote from Oxford English dictionary..........
.."The alternative spellings blonde and blond correspond to the feminine and masculine forms in French, but in English the distinction is not always made, as English does not have such distinctions of grammatical gender. Thus, blond woman or blonde woman, blond man or blonde man are all used. The word is more commonly used of women, though, and in the noun the spelling is typically blonde. In American usage the usual spelling is blond for both adjective and noun."
