Festival goers are certainly not going to feel blue after Pride organisers announced another multi-million selling chart act had joined their line-up for this year’s event.

Pride Brighton and Hove have announced that award-winning and colourful boy band Blue will be performing on the Pride Main Stage in Preston Park on Saturday August 2.

Band members Anthony Costa, Lee Ryan, Simon Webbe and Duncan James, who as a quartet have sold more than 15 million records worldwide and scored three number one albums, have signed up to perform at this year’s event.

They will be joined by former Pussycat Doll Kimberly Wyatt, who was announced as a headliner last week, and original member of The Weather Girls Martha Walsh.

Organisers have already reported tickets sales are going at a record speed with 7,000 early bird tickets selling-out in a matter of weeks.

A Pride spokesman said: “This Brighton Pride expect a perfect boy band mix of emotive ballads and energetic dance tracks from their new album Roulette alongside those much-loved Blue classics including their number one singles Too Close, If You Come Back and Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word.

“So whether you are dancing, admiring or singing along with your hands in the air, Blue’s Brighton Pride Main Stage performance is set to make everyone’s hearts flutter.”

Pride Brighton and Hove 2014: Freedom To Live will host the Pride Festival in Preston Park from midday until 10pm on August 2.

Discounted £15 tickets are available until the end of May, rising to £17.50 in June and £20 in July.
