Moteck the macaque was up to his neck in it after monkeying around during a special day at the zoo.
Staff at Drusillas Park were celebrating Earth Day with a series of special events and games for the animals.
The annual event aims to raise awareness of environmental issues by turning lights off so Moteck found his own way of getting in the dark. Zoo keepers created special globes from recycled newspaper to highlight the event with the snacks inside including cheese and locusts for the macaques.
Other animals to get their own globes included the squirrel monkeys and emperor tamarins, who had theirs stuffed with a bounty of apples and grapes.
