Firefighters were called to tackle an oven fire on Tuesday evening (April 29).

A crew from Hastings was called to Crowborough Road in the town shortly after 7.30pm.

It is thought a resident left their food on the oven too long causing smoke and a small fire.

Crews managed to put out the blaze with minimal damage.

There were no injuries.

Why oh why are the fire service wasting their time putting out fires when they could be putting out fires? Charge the people who called them out and chop their legs off at the knees.

Yes, but if they chopped peoples legs off then an Ambulance would have to be called. Also the Police. And quite possibly the Coastguard.

I really don't think you've thought this through.
