A man has died this morning after falling 50ft from a bridge onto a main road.
The A22 in East Grinstead is currently shut following the incident.
Police were called at 11am and despite efforts by paramedics the man, an adult from Mid Sussex, was declared dead.
A Sussex Police spokesman said: “We were called at 11am to College Way which is a road over the A22 Beeching Way.
“A man had fallen from a bridge onto the road below.
“The road is currently shut between London Road and the Lewes Road roundabout.
“The man’s death is not being treated as suspicious.”
