JUST a few thousand tickets remain to see Albion's promotion push for the Premier League.

The club continue to be inundated with fans eager to see the Seagulls unexpected end-of-season run after sales were opened to more fans.

Bookmakers have confirmed what most Seagulls supporters feel and placed the club as the outsiders in the remaining promotion-pushing quartet.

But fans hope the club can prove the bookies wrong, including one fan who stands to win £8,500 after betting £1,000 on an Albion promotion with Ladbrokes at odds of 15/2 before the club were even confirmed in the play-offs.

Yesterday fans who had bought tickets with the club in the past three years were given the chance to experience play-off fever at the Amex on Thursday night for the first leg.

The club's 2,700 allocation for the return leg at the iPro Stadium in Derby on Sunday also sold-out yesterday.

Fans are being urged to print their tickets at home or pick them up as early as possible with the club estimating that as many as 8,000 fans are set to queue at the Amex between yesterday and 7pm tomorrow with waiting times of up to 90 minutes anticipated.

Ladbrokes have Derby as favourites at 23/10, QPR at 5/2, Wigan at 13/5 and Brighton 3/1 while Albion are 6/5 to make it to Wembley and Derby 8/13.

William Hill has the club at 7/2 compared to Derby at 2/1 and QPR and Wigan at 5/2.

A Ladbrokes spokeswoman said: “Unfortunately most of the money has been for Derby to get the upper hand in the first leg and part of the way to Wembley.

“Brighton are actually the second worst result in our 'to be promoted' market which started back in July last year, so we find ourselves in the unusual position of cheering on the favourites instead of underdogs Brighton.”

A William Hill spokesman said: “We have had a bit of money on for Derby, QPR and Wigan because they had already confirmed their places and now a little has started to come in for Brighton since that last-minute goal on Saturday.

“We expect it to reach fever pitch closer to kick-off.”
