A charity shop with a difference is throwing open its doors tomorrow.

The store will be offering a range of “shabby chic” goods, with all proceeds going to the Chestnut Tree House children's hospice.

The hospice, based near Arundel, already has nine stores across the country, but this one, based in the High Street, Uckfield, is the first of its kind for the charity.

The shop will focus on shabby chic but will also include a range of quality clothes, shoes, accessories, jewellery and homeware.

As part of the opening day celebrations, a personal image consultant and make-up artist will be on hand from 11am to 1pm to offer advice.

The charity is also looking for volunteers to help out in the shop.

For more information, call Mark Francis on 01903 706315 or speak to staff in the store.
