A girl of 12 had to be freed by firefighters after becoming trapped in a see-saw.

Crews were called to a children’s playground in Mayfield Lane, St Leonards at around 2.15pm on Sunday.

An East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “The girl called 999 to say her leg was trapped in the seat and our crews went along and were able to get her out.”

The brigade said the girl was too big for the see-saw.

How can a 12 yr old be too big for a see saw?! An adult can go on those?!

They appear to have no swings on the swings either? Would appear this playground is in severe need of replacement - so why hasn't it been replaced? Kids need somewhere safe to play.

You need to get out more ;) Some 12 years olds these days are not what might be politely termed as 'athletic'! ;)
