Northumbria Police are investigating
A PENSIONER who died after being knocked down by a motorbike has been named by police.
Mary Gray, 76, of North Road, Hetton-le-Hole, Wearside, was rushed to hospital by air ambulance after the incident which took place on South Hetton Road, Easington Lane, at about 12.15pm on Tuesday, May 20.
She died a week later.
The motorbike rider and passenger were taken to hospital treatment but have since been released.
Northumbria Police are investigating the incident and have appealed for anyone with information to call 101, extension 69191, quoting reference 487 20/05/14.
