A SUSSEX antique centre invited a top TV show to its premises to film for Children in Need.

Brighton Lanes Antique Centre in Brighton hosted the film crew from BBC Antiques Road Trip as they filmed a celebrity special for the charity’s programme.

The film crew were accompanied by James Bolan from New Tricks and his wife, but the TV personalities were outshone by a future star – an eight-year-old.

Livia Brynin of Brighton Lanes Antique Centre said: “We’ve had them round before, but my son Toby got a lot of attention from the cameras – he’s only eight. It was great for us to be involved, it’s always good to do our bit for charity. We’ve become quite well-known for our TV appearances now, and with three generations of us in the shop, it’s quite a nice story.”

Livia also writes an antiques column for The Argus.

The TV show features antiques experts accompanying celebrities on a road trip around the UK searching for treasures and competing to make the most money at auction.
