CRIME fiction fans were hot on the trail of their hero as they queued up to meet him at a book signing event.
Peter James’ fans lined up for the chance to meet the best-selling, Brighton-born author at Tesco in Church Road, Hove yesterday.
The book signing was part of the author’s whistle-stop tour around Sussex to promote his new novel Want You Dead.
The novel is the tenth in his crime series, featuring detective Roy Grace and published in hardback by Pan Macmillan this week.
His signing events continue throughout this week, including at Sainsbury’s West Hove, WH Smith in Churchill Square and Asda Hollingbury today. He visits Asda Brighton Marina on Thursday and Ropetackle Arts Centre in Shoreham next Monday.
The book has been exclusively serialised in The Argus and tonight The Argus editor Michael Beard will be hosting an exclusive free reader evening with Peter James at the Thistle Hotel, Brighton.
The novelist will read further extracts from his new book, answer readers’ questions and will be available to sign copies.
To submit questions for the event, place Peter James in the subject header and send your questions to editor@theargus.co.uk.
