THE Princess Royal will be among the visitors to the opening of the South of England Show today.

Princess Anne will take the opportunity to see various attractions at the show before she attends the AGM of the Royal Agricultural Society of the Commonwealth, in her role as president.

The world class Kangaroo Kids motorcycle display team from Australia will perform two 30-minute displays in the Ardingly Ring, showing off various stunts and tricks.

Various horse racing and show jumping displays will also be taking place in the Ardingly Ring and there will be a parade of hounds.

The show is taking place at the South of England Showground in Ardingly.

The Hackney Horse Society Classes will be showing from 3pm in the Hackney Ring and the Sports Horse Breeding and Championship will start at 1pm.

All trade and society exhibitions will open at 9am except horticulture, which will remain closed until competition judging at 10.30am.

Gates open at 9am and close at 6.30pm.
