Investigation to determine cause of barn fire
An investigation is to be carried out later today to determine the cause of a fire which broke out in Meres Lane, Cross In Hand.
Fire fighters were called at 01:53 to tackle a blaze in a barn at Northover Farm.
The barn is about 50 metres by 50 metres in size and contained 300 tonnes of straw and hay. About 50% of the barn has been destroyed.
Fire crews put out the fire with foam and water and are still on the scene.
No one was injured.
