A KEEN cyclist is taking on a 1,600-mile bike challenge for charity.
Simon Atkinson, who works at Dillistone Funeral Service in Worthing, will be pitting himself against the French Alps as part of the Ten Cols Challenge, raising money for the mental health charity Mind.
Mr Atkins said: “Last year I tried to beat a Guinness record for cycling across Europe but I failed. I struggled with stress and anxiety during the attempt and then with depression upon my return to the UK. Mind seemed the ideal charity to raise awareness and hopefully money for.”
