A man was taken to hospital after a head-on collision with another car.
Firefighters, paramedics and police officers were all called to Warren Road in Brighton at just after 5.50am on Monday morning to a two car accident.
One man had to be removed from his car on a backboard after it flipped on its side and was taken to Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton.
Two hours later, a 13-year-old male pedestrian was injured after an accident with a car in the neighbouring Roseberry Avenue.
The boy was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton, with minor injuries.
Warren Road was closed between its junctions with Dowland Road and Channel View Road until 9am while emergency services dealt with the incident.
