A dog walker was attacked and left with a broken jaw after he was approached by a group of six people.
Police are appealing for witnesses to an assault on a 39-year-old man in Cokeham Lane, Sompting on May 30 at 11pm.
The victim was walking his dog when he was approached by the group, two of whom attacked him. The victim suffered a broken jaw, which requires an operation, and bruising to his face
The two suspects are both described as white men aged 18 to 20.
One is 5' 5", of average build with short blonde hair and was wearing a long-sleeved white jumper. The other is 6', of average build with short dark hair and was wearing a red top.
Any witness or anyone with information is asked to call 101 or email 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk quoting serial 426 of 31/5. Alternatively, call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
