AN ARTS charity has invited a celebrity mother to the launch of its new play centre designed for children with special needs.
Brighton-based Same Sky has invited Katie Price and her son Harvey to the launch of the Otherworld attraction.
The immersive theatre and play experience will launch at Chailey Heritage School in Lewes from June 11-15.
The charity, which also organises the Children’s Parade and Burning The Clocks in Brighton, has combined space travel, interactive storytelling , puppets, music, audio and video projections for the new entertainment.
Otherworld is for use by all, but was originally designed specifically for children and young people with complex additional needs.
It has been created by a collaboration between Same Sky and Different Planet Arts funded by the National Lottery through the Big Lottery Fund.
The charity is also calling on residents to help raise £20,000 to fund a second year of the project.
That level of funding will allow the charity to deliver 144 sessions of immersive theatre and multimedia film nights as well as play skills workshops to more than 2,500 participants at locations around Sussex and Kent.
